Plant Your Garden of Love with Gratitude

Long before GRATITUDE was a concept that everyone taught, I somehow knew that when I was thankful for things it felt really good.  There was so much in my life growing up that did not feel so good, that when something did, I was so happy for the experience.

What I did not realize that by being in that space of thankfulness, and feeling the energy of gratitude I was creating a landscape by which I could experience more of what I was appreciating.

Although I know how important it is to focus on what I want to attract and create in my life and that I am constantly helping my clients to do the same for themselves, it is still easy for me to  “forget” sometimes to be in the energy of gratitude.   I had a couple of strong reminders this past week from unlikely sources.

Saturday, June 23rd celebrates Daragh Shannon, an amazing woman who lost her battle to cancer October 15, 2010. Her family has organized a 5 K Road Race in memory of their mother. All proceeds are being donated to the Hampton Town Recreational Department and Dana Farber for Cancer Research.  In reading the memory from one of her children, I was struck by the amazing ability this woman had to smile and savor every moment, seeing all the beauty and good that surrounded her.  If you are interested in donating or running in the race June 23, 2012 in Hampton, NH, visit the official site for all the details: http://im-trying.com/

One of my daughter’s closest friends from high school has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.   She is only 28 years old.  She has battled many challenges in her young life and had finally thought she left it all behind her.  She was excited to create a new life of clarity and presence.  Her diagnosis has reinforced this intention.  My daughter was inspired with how incredibly grateful her friend is, in spite of how easy it would be to ask, “Why me?” and sit in self -pity and sorrow.

It reminded both of us how easy it is sometimes to focus on what’s not working or right in our life, our relationships, our jobs, our partners, and even ourselves.  It also inspired her to be more present in gratitude in her life.

This is the inspiration for Seeds of Love for Tuesday, June 12, 2012 – “How Gratitude Creates the Relationships You Really Want.”

If you haven’t heard all the buzz about the power of gratitude yet, here’s your chance.  If you are already practicing gratitude in your daily life, you most likely have begun to notice some positive things, and if not, you will learn how to notice and increase your capacity to manifest with gratitude.  In particular in this episode, Cheri will be showing you how exactly to engage the power of gratitude to seed and feed your garden of love to create the happily ever after experience we all crave.

  • How easy is it for you to see your partner for all the beauty that is there?
  • Is it easier for you to find fault with what’s wrong and what’s missing?
  • If you are single, do you find yourself noticing all that is wrong with your dates, or lack of dates?
  • Can you smile at the gifts that each experience is offering you to create the love you do want?

You can listen live each week to a new episode of Seeds of Love on Tuesdays. 3pm to 4pm Eastern Time: wherever you have Internet here: http://a2zen.fm
